Many thanks go to domainmonster.com - I was able to grab 95% of my picks within minutes of the opening. With the refund for the few that I didn't get, I got my secondary picks and then even went for more.

I used DomainMonster.com and, I am embarrassed to say, was able to get several really solid names. DomainMonster absolutely knew what was available and what wasn't. They had it nailed down - and their customers scored big time.

I ran into *exactly* the same issue. I also owned the.me for awhile, but when I got the rejection letter I looked into it more closely and discovered that the.me was registered over a month ago during the trademark sunrise period. You'd think that godaddy would know that and not charge you (my card was charged).

hey i bought some too and got those emails, but if you look at the email its sending you its from domainsbyproxy. I dont think whois supports .me extensions yet, and that domainsbyproxy is the whois company when you purchase from godaddy

If you really want a .me domain, you should register it during the land-rush period and win the necessary auction in order to own it. Waiting for open registration stage to get one is too late... especially for short proper words...

And what's the obsession with "aweso.me"?

Dude, I totally had this problem, I had two AWESOME .me domain names. Godaddy let me buy them, then they sent me an email telling me oops they aren't available.

Thanks for ruining my week Godaddy (FAIL)
